Barbados Beyond The Beach: A Journey Through Time and Culture. The Bajan identity is a range of Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. The island's history of slavery and colonization has left a long-lasting result on the Bajan individuals, and their culture reflects this mix of effects and origins. Regardless of these historical troubles, Bajans are recognized for their resilience and heart. They are friendly and welcoming. They have a strong sense of neighborhood, obvious in how they come together to commemorate celebrations and special occasions. They are delighted in their skin, and  lots have no interest in finding out more of their African heritage. One considerable rogue explains: "I comprehend who I am - I am Bajan; what is the point of digging up the past."
